Moose/ Caribou Jerky

Moose or Caribou Meat
2 1/2 tsp salt
9 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 Cups warm water
1 tbsp onion powder
6 dashes tabasco sauce
Soya sauce for coloring

Mix all but Moose in a glass bowl; add soya sauce to make a dark colour. Cut meat into
1/4 inch strips and let soak for 6 hours in glass bowl mixture. Bake in a vented oven at
150 degrees with pan underneath to catch drippings. Cook until you can bend it without breaking it

Bakeapple Square

2 cups flour
3/4 cups white sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tap salt
2 cups coconut
1 cup butter
Bakeapple Jam

Mix dry ingredients together. Rub in butter. Put 1/2 of coconut mixture in bottom of
greased 9x9 inch square pan. Spread bakeapple jam over top. Cover with remaining
coconut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~


Bologna Casserole

4 oz macaroni (1/2 cup)
1 tin mushrooms
1 tbsp butter
1 green pepper (chopped)
1 onion chopped
1 tin mushroom soup
1 lb bologna (chopped)
1/2 cup grated cheese

Cook macaroni and drain. Then saute onion, green pepper, and mushrooms in
butter. Stir in bologna, macaroni and remaining ingredients. Put in baking dish
and cover. Bake for about 30 minutes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~


Baked Beans

1lb white beans
1 tbsp mustard
1/2 tsp pepper
1 small piece pork (1"x 2")
1 cup molasses
3 tbsp brown sugar
Pinch salt

Wash beans, drain. Cover with cold water to about an inch above the beans.
Make two or three cuts in the pork but not all the way through. Add the pork and
salt. Bring beans to boiling point. Reduce heat and simmer until beans are soft.
You man need to add more water while beans are cooking. When soft, add
molasses, mustard, brown sugar and pepper. Bake uncovered about 2-2 1/2 hours
in oven for 350 degrees. Do not stir beans while baking. You may need to add a little water- don't
let the beans dry out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~


Cod Au Gratin
<,br> 2 1/2 cups fresh cod (cooked, flaked and cooled)
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup grated cheese
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp pepper

Melt butter, add flour, salt and pepper. Stir to make a paste. Add milk and cook
until it thickens, stirring constantly. Grease 2 qt. casserole dish. Pour in a little
sauce. Add a layer of fish then sprinkle with cheese. Repeat layers until all
ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese. Bake in oven for 350 degrees for about 30 Minutes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~




Creamed Cod



2 pk cod fillets.
1 onion.
1/2 tsp salt.

6 tbsp butter.
4 tbsp flour.
1/4 tsp salt.
2 cups milk.
Bread crumbs.
Combine first 3 ingredients, cover well with water and boil for about 10 minutes. Cream butter, salt and flour, gradually had milk. Cook, stirring until thickened. Remove fish and onion from water, place in a casserole dish and pour sauce over fish. Cover with crumbs. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for about 15 minutes.

NFLD Partridgeberry Bread



1 cup light brown sugar.
2 cups flour.
1 1/2 cups partridge berries.
1/2 cup of butter.
1 tsp baking powder.
1 cup light raisins.
1 tsp baking soda.
2 well beaten eggs.
Rind and juice of an orange.
Place flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda in a deep bowl. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~



Bean Salad Delite



1 tin green beans (drained).
1 tin wax beans (drained).
1 tbsp chopped onion.
1 tbsp low calorie french dressing.
1 tin kidney beans (rinsed and drained).
2 tbsp pickle relish.
1 tbsp low calorie mayonnaise.
Mix all beans, pickle relish and onion together.
Mix mayonnaise and french dressing together.
Pour over bean mixture. Toss and refrigerate serveral hours before serving.
Only 38 calories per serving.

Rotini Pasta Salad



2 cups rotini pasta.
2 chopped tomatoes.
3/4 cup chopped onion.
3/4 cup green pepper.
1/4 cup grated carrot.
Dressing:
1/3 cup Italian dressing.
1/4 cup miracle whip.
1/2 tsp salt.
1/3 cup french dressing.
4 tbsp sugar.
1/2 tsp pepper.
In a large bowl combine first five ingredients for salad.
Mix together ingredients for dressing and stir into salad mixture.

Partridge Berry Muffins



1 Cup rolled oats.
1/2 Tsp baking soda.
4 Tbsp melted butter.
1 Tsp baking powder.
1 Egg.
1 Cup flour.
1 Cup brown sugar.
1 Cup sour milk.
1/2 Tsp salt.
1 Cup Partridge berries.
Put rolled oats in a bowl. Add sour milk. Let soak. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Add beaten egg and milted butter. Stir until blended. Fold in berries. Bake in greased muffin pan at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Chip Dip



1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened.
1 Cup ketchup.
1 Cup light salad dressing.
1 small onion.
Blend all ingredients together. Beat with mixer until smooth. Bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 1/2 hour.

Coke Classic Chicken



5 or 6 pieces chicken
1 cup coke classic
1 cup ketchup
Salt and pepper
Place chicken in shallow pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Combine coke and ketchup. Pour over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees oven for approximately 1 hour or until chicken is tender.

Rice Salad

1 Cup Cooked Rice
1/4 tsp Sugar
1 Can Crushed Pineapple
1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
1 pkg Dream Whip
Combine chilled rice, pineapple and sugar. Whip dream whip until stiff; beat in mayonnaise. Fold into rice mixture and chill.

Candy Cake



1 cup butter
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups gum drops
2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tin apple sauce
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours

Peppered Moose Steak

1/2 Cup onions
1/2 Cup soya Sauce
1/2 tsp ginger
1 green pepper
1 Cup watter
1/2 tsp sugar
Pinch of pepper and garlic powder
Cut meat in strips. Brown meat in oil and add the above ingredients and simmer over low heat. Thicken with 1 tbsp. corn starch and 2 tbsp. water.

Cinnamon Buns

2 Cups flour
1/2 Cup shortening.
1 cup milk
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Mix together and roll out. Mix together 1/3 cup butter, 2 tsp cinnamon and 3/4 cup brown sugar, spread over dough. Roll up into a log and slice to fit muffin pan. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.

Crab Dip
5 oz mashed crab
2 hard boiled egg(chopped)
1 tbsp finely chopped celery
1/2 tsp onion flakes or powder
2 tbsp salas dressing
Mix all together. Serve with crackers

No Crust Apple Pie

2 eggs (mix together then add)
3/4 cup flour
3 cups chopped apples
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Pour into pie plate. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

Hash Brown Casserole

1 Pk of Hash Browns
2 cups of grated cheese
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 (250 ml) tub of sour cream
1 small onion chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
Dash of salt and pepper
Mix all together and put in baking dish. Top with corn flake crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Delightful Chicken Breasts

6 whole chicken breasts
6 slices swiss cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pk stove top stuffing for chicken
Put chicken in bottom of dish. Place cheese slices on top, add undiluted soup and spread over chicken and cheese. Make stuffing as directed on package. Let set 5 minutes and spread over chicken. Bake uncovered at 300 degrees for 1 hour..

Pork chop and Rice Casserole

1 1/2 Cups dainty rice.
1 1/2 cans water.
8 Pork chops (can be cooked a little).
1 can cream of mushroom soup.
1 envelope onion soup mix (dry).
Mix all together in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Lay pork chops on top. Bake covered for 30- 40 minutes and 350 degrees. Uncover and cook for another 15 minutes. May substitute for chicken.
